FOUNDER MARIKA SOKOL

After many successful years as a manager and several start-ups in other industries, Aloe Base founder Marika Sokol wanted to set up an agricultural company that would provide a versatile and healthy product that would not harm the environment during cultivation. The aloe vera plant is perfect for this.

Grown in a sun-drenched region such as Greece, the plant provides large leaves with lots of vitamins and active ingredients that are healthy for us humans. And it doesn't need any artificial means to develop well. Just sun, good soil and water from a natural local source. And the remains of the leaves are naturally biodegradable.

To raise Aloe Base, Marika had to spend many years acquiring the knowledge and skills needed to run a modern, sustainable agribusiness. In 2022, she was able to realize her dream.

Aloe Base is a sustainable agri-business based on one core idea: that as many people as possible should live healthy and environmentally friendly lives.

Aloe vera is a plant that can be cultivated in a very environmentally friendly way due to its special properties. And as it has many positive properties for humans and animals and the leaves leave no non-recyclable residues, it is a plant that we should use much more. This is our message, which has already inspired many people in Austria and Germany.

We are advocates of zero waste and economic sustainability. We follow the principle of the circular economy and realize "neo-ecology" and "pure agriculture" as a principle of healthy, original agriculture. Our cultivation is both ecologically and socially sustainable. Our product is natural, responsible and can be processed almost entirely.

Why aloe vera?

There was a deeper purpose behind the founding of Aloe Base. With aloe vera, we want to produce ecologically and socially sustainable food that is completely recyclable and leaves no waste behind. It is the mission for our company, which we consistently pursue.

Our vision: Through the holistic use of Aloe Vera Barbadensis Miller leaves, many people can lead a healthier life and at the same time make a contribution to preserving our people-friendly nature.

Pure Farming

Aloe Base is a "Pure Agriculture" company. On our plantation in Greece, we operate a pure form of agriculture that we call "Pure Farming".

Our aim is to grow our almost 7,000 aloe plants in such a way that they need nothing but good untreated soil, natural spring water and sun to grow.

And after several years of natural growth, our plants provide us with leaves that can be used as healthy food, medicinal products and nourishing cosmetics.

CONSCIOUS DECISION: PURE ALOE VERA

Many conventional products containing aloe are harmful to the environment and contain artificial chemicals and perfumes. The list of ingredients is long. The list of benefits, however, is short.

Aloe Base stands for the opposite - we differentiate ourselves from other aloe vera brands with our simplicity. Products for us humans do not necessarily need artificial additives. The natural product, the aloe vera leaves, already contains all the essentials. We bring it to consumers in Vienna and throughout Austria and show them how they can use it sensibly.
